If you're up for some jazz, check out the green mill:

It is a really cool room and the people watching there is top notch. Last time I was there I heard Wallace Rooney's group and they were smokin.

Try to see Kurt Elling and crew on Wednesday nights. I assisted on them in the studio once, it was great.kweis7 wrote:If you're up for some jazz, check out the green mill:

If you're in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, there is a really cool bar called Alive One (all live/bootlegged music on the jukebox and rare stage photos plastered everywhere); it's 2 doors north of the Guitar Center on Halsted. Also in that vicinity is Chicago Music Exchange and Reckless Records.
If you're in the Wicker Park neighborhood, there is a Music-Go-Round and another cool bar called Subterranean.
Don't forget your winter jacket and your fall/spring jacket as the weather is really fluxuating a lot recently!
And, don't laugh at cops on Segways - they don't like that!
