Does anyone know of a good studio in Kansas City for mixing? I may need to do some work down there over the holidays. I'd need a place with Protools HD, a decent console, and some decent outboard stuff. Also, not too expensive.
Anyone? Pass on a website if you can.
thanks,

Check out Westend Studio. Mike Miller the owner is great and the guys I've talked to on the phone seem cool to. Joel Hamilton, J Hall and Takeout have done a bunch of work there too. Mike does some gear building too.

Westend is really cool. There is a very customized MCI 500 series in the "A" room, with a discrete 2mix and output Xformer mods...Shawn1272 wrote:Does anyone know of a good studio in Kansas City for mixing? Everything in that place is well maintained, as the owner is super awesome and makes a bunch of the gear there. Mike miller, as mentioned above...
I dont think they have an HD rig though... I think it is a Mix plus system.
Lots of other good stuff if you are rolling under 48k..... I would suggest checking the place out no matter what. Totally reasonable rates for what you get it is sick..
