At the luxury of having mass amounts of free studio time, this is the result of a lot of experimenting and fun with friends...

homemade suburban folk blues: http://myspace.com/bandylou

sidenote: the big company I work for has just blocked my access to myspace from work because myspace is "inappropriate or offensive... [and] poses subtantial risks to the reputation, resources, or security" of the company (!)

I'm not too surprised, as myspace seems to be mentioned in a negative light on the evening network news about 3 times a week nowadays... but it's a shame. The music part of myspace being overshadowed by the teenybopper / child predator / hidden online dangers to our children thing. Too bad.

Just dry it up a little bit and add some reverb...use echo instead of delay...put some more presence on at about 200Hz....you know what I want.

This is my solo project (a pathetic three song output). These were originally tracked to a VS 1680 before I switched to an MBox & PTLE. I have fairly primitive gear as far as mics & pre's, but to be able to learn & progress - if even just a little is still pretty gratifying. All drums are from Redrum in Reason as well as some of the keyboard sounds - they kick the ass of most of the sounds in the Korg X5 - especially ac. piano & el. piano. The bass is a Peavy (pawnshop)Fury most likely thru an ART Tube MP. I'll probably re-track that with a Radial Pro DI (a beautiful piece!!). THe 3rd song - (so far......I NEED NEW MATERIAL!!!!) "Quick Soul" is all Reason except for the guitar mis-use. Oh yeah, I've since moved on to the MBox2 and PTLE7. Anyhow, no more excuses:
