New studio Is here

Post by supafuzz » Tue Jul 25, 2006 5:56 am

I'm finally hooking up with a great studio in Long Island City.

They've been operation for about a year and going strong..
I'm moving alll my cool vintage equipment there and raising the quality bar even higher!

It a prottols HD3 system with great convertors and drum room and vocal booth

Located in the soon to be gentrified queensboro plaza area...[so a recent NY times article says]

I've been doing sessions there already and am so happy to get out of the home studio. {i'm keeping my digi oo2rack and a telefunken tube preamp a home for occasional overdubs but that's about it....

will post updates soon

Well it's official..I have a studio! zeroville productions inc will be based at
a bloody good record recording studio.
I'm really excited about this. Been doing some sessions there already and
I'm excited about the potential.
My gear gets moved in later this week and we'll update the gear list....
lots of cool vintage stuff as well as some new prototype discrete
mic preamps that sound amazing on our Stapes overheads ,are on the way this week.
We're concentrating on having a great sounding drum room, and my collection of vintage guitar amps for you rockers....

Nice vocal booth with an expanding mic collection.
We built a space for producers/engineers with projects for weekday and evening times and are offering special rates for those times.

Weekends are already booked for the month of August.
Nice private spot near the 7 train and E train...right near the 59st bridge and queensboro plaza.

We're going to have an open house party in september that I'll announce.
thanks

I'm going to be tracking drums at that studio in September, I think. I got a gear list from the band that mentioned a bunch of stuff coming in August...that must be your gear, Harley. The list looked great...looking forward to using it!
Keep us posted on the open house...

Actually, I'm going to be engineering (hence the drooling-over-gear-list). I'm being hired on to do the drum tracking for a band that has already booked the session at your studio. I get to work out of a different studio for a change ...woohoo!
(Thanks for the OHs tip!)
