Thanks, guys.

Had to have totally unexpected, out of nowhere surgery....

The surgery followed a bout of the worst pain I have ever felt in my life:

Passing a COUPLE of gall stones through an infected common bile duct, then having TWO more stones drop and clog up the duct so I was starting my way towards Jaundice and death.... (!!!!!!) completely scary. 5 full days of hospital. I am home now, recuperating. I am weak, but it looks like I will make it. Scary to know that was in question at all!

Cripes. Still weak, and in mild pain, but getting better every day.

Again,
thank you all for your wishes.

-Joel

Glad you're on the mend. My dad had almost the exact same condition last year. Hopefully you didn't have to deal with an infected liver to boot- that takes a serious antibiotic cocktail to clear out.

Rest well, and speedy recovery!

Livers are great, they can regenerate like no other organ. I'm glad to hear you're on the mend and soon will be good as new.

Close calls suck.

Take care!
not to worry, just keep tracking....
