Denver blizzard pity party?

Denver blizzard pity party?

Post by Professor » Fri Dec 29, 2006 2:19 pm

So how about it?

I'm thinking somewhere towards downtown on Saturday (so we can drive by then), maybe the Wazee Supper Club or something else if anybody has a particular favorite.

Anybody interested?

PM and we'll trade phone numbers or whatever.

Well, crap.

I went to Boulder to see Mike Watt & Rise Hill Drive. I'm repeating that tonight, too.

How long are you in town?

Shoot - I flew out of Denver Saturday afternoon, after being delayed from my original Thursday flight. Exact same thing a week earlier when I was trying to get to Colorado!

I'm just glad I didn't get stuck in the airport!

I'm driving back out early on Tuesday and looking to do some drinkin' & carousin' tonight... before I go and get a whole year older on Monday.
It's all good - was kinda cold downtown last night and I ended up having a burger with my nephew over at the City Grille on Colfax. The sign said 'best burgers in Denver' and I gotta say - that was a tasty burger.

I didn't see this before now, but if we can figure out a spot late in the afternoon I'd be in for one.

Well I think enough of the snow has receded that it might just be a beer night (or afternoon) but sure, I'd be down.
Any others?
Wanna name a time & place?

Any out-of-towners still around (J)? I've had family commitments the last couple of days, but an after-work adult beverage would still work. I'll check in at lunchtime.

Not that I'm an out-of-towner, but I'll be backing up Little Fyodor at the 15th Street Tavern on saturday...

Is there anybody... OUT THERE?

Out of towners still around? You're welcome to come out into the foothills just West of Denver, hang at the studio a bit, have some beers, play on 4.5 acres, crash on our futon. Or... we'll come down into town!

I know I owe Professor at least two beers

I just saw this post..Lived thru the blizzard... I was at Saturdays rose hill drive show. Man they are incredible. Love that band.
The brothers in rose hill drive have a younger brother named Ben who has a band called "von skinny" check em out on myspace. We recorded those songs in my basement over a weekend. Pretty good for three 17 year olds.

wazee supper club is the shit...city grill rocks..sounds like you know Denver already. Next time you're in Denver try Benny's for the best mexican food. Petes kitchen (..the one on colfax) for breakfast, Jeruselum for India type stuff & crown burger for great bacon cheeseburger.
