Man, I need a beer. I'm been working two full-time jobs for weeks. Next week *may* work.

Where? The Royal Tavern? The Abbaye? The Cantina? City Hall? The Franklin Institute?

???

Actually, The Royal is great, but always f'ing packed to the gills. The Abbaye in NoLibs (3rd and Fairmount, I think) always has room and good beers.

I can go anywhere, but I won't know WHEN I can go for a few days. But yeah, this hasn't happened for over a year, and I missed the last one. It'll be good to talk shop and meet some new folks.

Hopefully none of you did the location sound for the movie I'm working on. If so I'll have to pour a beer over your head.

Philly Beer night...

Post by alexdingley » Thu May 31, 2007 1:43 pm

I don't know which bars are really good... I have enjoyed Bob & barbaras on 16th & South. Anything in Northern Liberties is good for me. I come from the suburbs, so it doesn't matter which bar we hit.

as long as we plan a few nights in advance, I'm interested.

I'm in!

I'm in the burbs also (Cherry Hill), and Liberties is best for me.

...but I'm up for whatever. Let's just make sure it's a place that isn't too loud to talk.

not sure if this is a VIP club or anything, but i could use some local recording folks to nerd out with from time to time.

off to dc this weekend either way. so maybe this is a moot post

I'm off Thursday, so It's beautiful for me... But I'm flexible.

Everyone just post your pick of day...

the place is totally 2nd-ary.

This week has just shut-down for me.

If there is not yet a commitment, how about Wed of next week -- 6/13?

I'm in for whatever...even though I am a baby Tape Op-er. I am in the suburbs, but I intern at 88.5 WXPN, so I'm in the city Tuesday/Thursday. But I don't mind driving into the city...

Woot, 100 posts.

Just saw this thread. Glad to see there's talk of a 215 TOMB hang. As I am flat-on-my-back broke, next week is MUCH more conducive to socializing. And yeah, location is secondary. But...there's a killer bar right down the street from the Cantina on Passyunk which, on a busy night, has a total of 3 old guys watching the Phillies game. Very conducive to conversation. And if I'm not mistaken, Wednesday night is when the owner makes killer homemade crab gravy over spaghetti...for $5. Just a suggestion. BUT...the Cantina's special is a can of Tecate and a shot of Sauza gold for $4. Very conducive to drunkeness. I'm going to stop typing now.

Next week is also better for me, though I may be able to step away from a Mac for long enough to enjoy a Yards before then.

We should really decide on a day.
