Yeah, I lied. There's one on Harrison now. It's open until 10 on Thurs.

Fuck that. I'm holding out for somewhere with good beer.

It really doesn't matter to me as long as it's easily accessible from the trains.

There's Rock Bottom up in the river north area - within a couple blocks of the Red line. And I've been told by a beer-enthusiast friend that it's much better than the usual Rock Bottom franchise.

I was only half kidding. What about Piece in Wicker Park? Convenient to the Blue Line, good pizza, and brewery on premises.

Piece is good, but every time I have been there it's really busy. Not very conducive to a drop-in sorta gathering.

Anyone still want to get together on Thursday?

Chris, do you want to pick the place?

I'm still up for it, there's that place across the street from Double Door, Blue something or other, it's right under the Damen/North/Milwaukee Blue Line stop. Or Emmit's, near the Grand Blue line stop.

somebody call it.

Hey Hey!

I'm in.

I was at this place recently and found it quite nice.

I'm in too. The Village Tap has good beer and is one-half mile west of the Paulina stop on the brown line. It's a good place.

Emmit's is closer to the train, I haven't been there- heard it's a good place though.

Given that going any distance beyond the trains will be a bit unknown for out-of-towners like our guest, how about Rock Bottom? It's very close to a Red line stop, and pretty decent beer.

Thanks, Sco. That's a good call. My wife probably won't be coming with me to the hang, so anything to make it easier for me to find is good, although I might be able to meet Nick somewhere or something.

Yeah, Thursday night is good for me.

1 W. Grand, corner of Grand and State Street. About 8 blocks from my studio. Perfect! What time?

I probably couldn't get there before 7 or 8pm.

Oh, and you might consider bringing a pair of headphones - I've got a couple of prototype mics to show off, and I'll be able to send out a headphone-level signal.
