Mid-sized studios in Athens GA?
I'll possibly be headed to Athens later this year to do a record with an Athens band.
Just doing some initial research to see if anyone knows some studios I should look into. Looking for something that might be about the size of Jackpot! (if you've seen that.) Tape is great, but a decent ProTools room is cool as long as there are good options for input signal chain. In Portland, the kind of room I'm looking for would be $200-$400/day.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Shoot David Barbe at Chase Park Transduction - http://chaseparktransduction.com/ - an email. David is a super nice guy and is really good about working with other studios in the area. If Chase Park doesn't meet your needs he can probably recommend a studio that does.
Damn, I love Chase Park enough that I'm disappointed I didn't post it first!
My band did our last record there; there's a good live room, all the equipment you'd need, good mics, pres, etc., totally tape-oriented but they have pro tools, too. There's also a small B-room if you want to do cheaper overdubs or something; I think the rates would be just what you want, though.
Most importantly, the vibe there is awesome: Super-comfortable, chill, kind of tucked-away, and David Barbe couldn't be a nicer, more helpful and creative guy. It felt like having a pro studio in your own house.
And second most important: Ping-pong action on the premises.
