analog to digital transfer in NYC- need 1/2" 8-track

Post by MitoPro » Thu Aug 07, 2008 10:16 pm

A friend of mine is looking for a place to transfer some tapes to digital. The tapes were recorded on a Tascam 80-8 1/2" 8-track machine at 15 ips on 456. Hoping to find a place in NYC or nearby where the transfer can be done. If anyone out there has the right gear to help make this happen, or knows where the right gear can be found, give me a shout and I will pass along the info.

thanks, Matt

Steve Puntolillo at Sonicraft.

http://www.sonicraft.com

He can transfer any tape recorded on any machine at the best quality possible, IMHO. He's a bit of a drive into Jersey, but he's a great guy and the last time I used his services, the price was REALLY decent.

He was also interviewed in TapeOp sometime in the past year.

If you call him, tell him "hi" from Geoff Mann.
