Portland: Help me out

Post by GoatKnuckles » Sat Aug 16, 2008 12:43 pm

i'm going to be in Portland from August 18th to the 25th and i'm looking for cool shit to do (i.e record stores, guitar shops, bars, restaurants etc) I will be staying at the jupiter hotel which looks pretty bad ass and if possible i'd kinda like to stick near that area (wherever that is) since I won't have a car. Thanks

Hey man

Check out this thread, there are some tips on there:

Your hotel location looks pretty good - if possible, you should see if you can rent a bike for the week - from where you will be staying, you could get by bike to a lot of good stuff, both on the east side and the west side.

Be careful of the MAX (lightrail) it has a break in the line until August 24th. You can't ride it across the river.

I'm sure if you ask some specific questions, some of us PDX'rs will pipe up.
