Hey Hey!

I think I can make it.

I'll be the guy that looks almost, but not entirely unlike Brad Pitt. (I'm told I look -or looked- most like him in "the wet scene" of Legends of the Fall) And every advance I make on Ms Jolie, I just come away feeling like she thinks of me as a brother.

(let's see if we can keep this rolling, with everyone describing themselves as compared to Brad Pitt)

Yeah, I'd look like Brad Pitt, if he looked a little like John Denver! Damn these genes.

I'll have at least one sign up at the table. If there's a hostess, I'll mention it to her too.

Hasta manana!

Hey, lemme make a suggestion:

I am bringing some copies of my latest CD (In the Bedio).

Can all y'all bring some of yours to exchange?

I would hate to charge ya's for it.

(The above is a joke, and only a joke; had it been real, you would be requested to provide US$35 and a Chinee LDC for each copy of my CD.)

The preceding is, of course, a joke; I have enough Chinee LDC's, so, mebbe a dynamic? Made in the USA?

Have fun, guys! Opening is tomorrow, not tonight as I thought...so I won't be able to join you.

dwlb - Hopefully we'll see you at the next one. Break a leg tonight.

vvv - I don't think you want me as your wing man. It usually ends badly for the pilot. Besides, I don't think my old lady would approve.

See all ya'll tonight. I'll be there @ 6:00, with a sign on the table/wall, drinking something brewed 10 mins. from my house (Flossmoor Station!), and reading gear porn (Sweetwater catalog arrived yesterday).

Since I'm not familiar with the Map Room's layout, I asked around here at work, and learned that the tables are in the back, past the bar. So head that way when you arrive and look for the TO sign(s). I'm wearing a green/gray shirt and a ratty, old army field jacket.

I talked to a buddy who lives in that neighborhood, and he recommended the Western stop on the Blue Line. Just a heads up!

Hey Hey!

I'm looking at 7:30ish.

And I might be bringing along Michael Kolar, the EARS VP.

I'll probably have the latest Tape Op, a Fedora, and my best themagicmanmdt costume on.

Angelina says the kids need her tonight. She sends her regrets.

Aiight, Archmart wins the Brad Pitt thing, mostly because he wanted to more!

Channelcat got a very strong second, tho', let there be no doubt.

His Denver definitely beat out Kolar's.

Thanx y'all for the tips on the double-beater single-kick, and your company.

I made it home in on piece, DUI-less, even. 8)

Hey Hey!

"double-beater single-kick"? Man, it was loud in there. I thought we were talking about a Glen Kotche's beef-eater jingle-stick!

It was fun. It's always nice to hang with fellow TapeOpers.

Now, it's interesting, this little fun we had with Mr. Pitt, and then we get there and the entire conversation orbits around Wilco. Now connect -those- two, Mr. VVV!

... about Aniston vs. Jolie.

Mang, but I was blasted even before I arrived; hope I offended no one, but the name-drops was fun.

Next time, tho', I want yer CD's!
