Hi I'm looking for a studio in or around NYC, including upstate, CT, etc.

I'm looking for a midrange room with decent outboard and mics, 2" machine and protools, good live room with a piano (upright is cool). chill vibe overall.

need 5 days in the middle of april and looking for a room, no engineer, and yes assistant/good intern for under $500.

Exactly....for what he's looking for..doesn't exist..but I think he wants 5 days for $500 total! There's always the guys on CL who'll record all day for $9

There's a guy up around here who post on Craigslist for $13/hr. For "24 tracks" of Pro Tools. I suppose I would want a deep discount for a version of PT that has less tracks then even the basest LE system.
It really isn't the cheapness that bothers me it that they don't even know their own gear.
