seattle area studios

Post by permanent hearing damage » Thu May 28, 2009 1:02 pm

some people i've recorded in the past relocated to seattle and are looking into flying me out sometime in august to record them. i have to find a place to do it. i'm guessing we're looking for something under like $300/day without engineer, just knowing what i know about these guys

tape is preferred (at least 8 tracks, please), but nuendo/cubase would be manageable. i have some outboard and mics i might bring along with me, depending on what is available at the studio.

this is some type of hardcore/punk thing, so i definitely need a place to be very loud for long periods of time and i'm hoping for a sizeable live room.

i have no idea what the budget is like so i'm just trying to feel this out a little here.

Erik Forrey (4A) is the owner. He's a good guy.

I mixed my last record at Electrokitty. Nice place to mix (new SSL board), but I don't think you'll get in there for under $300/day.
