Hi!
Looking for a spot in NYC that would be good for a jazz trio/quartet.
Tape would be nice of course...Any ideas?
Thanks!
Jeremy

that's fine. you don't suck at life, or recording, or driving to pittsburgh and back in a day, so sucking at links is fine.

DIRECTORY OF RECORDING STUDIOS

Post by billshere » Wed Jul 22, 2009 6:04 am

We have a directory of of services available to musicians in NYC. Our Recording Studio page has over 200 listings with links to websites. It's free. Go to: http://www.newyorkmusician.com. I'd recommend Threshold Music, KMA, Sabella Studios but check out the whole list.

We love having jazz guys come in. We did Gregg Skaff's last record with Charley Drayton, Darryl Jones and a bunch of other incredible dudes. They all seemed to dig it. Below I copy and pasted a reply to another post joelmoore made:

Matt Wells' place, One East Recording, is pretty awesome. (Full Disclosure: I work there for Matt semi-regularly) He doesn't really promote it much, all word of mouth really. The studio has been around for a while in a few different incarnations (Tin Pan Alley, etc.) but it's finally starting to pick up steam. Great vibe, great gear. Plus it doesn't hurt that Izzy Lugo has his workshop in the studio so there's almost always an incredible guitar tech floating around.
