Another jazz great gone:

I got to see Ed play at the 1992 IAJE Conference in Miami. The dude was the epitome of taste. Amazing brush player. Not just amazing in terms of impressive chops, but also in terms of technique, feel, sound, and choice. A truly classy gentleman who will be missed.

What a recorded legacy to leave behind though! Listening to 'Oscar Peterson Trio +1' now...

Man, this slipped right past me. He was a guest artist when I was in college. What a great guy and player!
