I'll second John's recommendation in Boston. (He did give you one in Boston, right? I'll bet he did.)

Same here Jon and Chris. I have something coming up in need of mastering soon.

Thanks!

all kidding/mystery aside, i am happy to recommend:

Jay Frigoletto

jay has done a whole bunch of records for me at this point, starting with my own solo disc. i sat there and listened as my record got better and better as he worked. completely musical, laid back, excellent feller. He da man.

likewise....

Scott Craggs (aka MoreSpaceEcho)

just did a record for me. And if I'm not mistaken, it was the first done in his spiffy new space! Scott enjoys eating at The Friendly Toast, long walks on the beach and Club D'Elf. Also, he is a bad ass mastering engineer that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. he also da man.

What is actually affordable rate ?. Most of the online mastering services take 50?'s / song. Which i think is pretty low.

Hi Zeroville is now offering affordable mastering rates vary per project but are inexpensive. Atom Fellows our mastering guy is very experienced and has golden ears

I cannot sing high-enough praises for Scott Craggs. I have had stuff that I've worked on mastered by Greg Calbi and I was fortunate to do a mastering session at Abbey Road a few years back with the late, great Chris Blair and I am not only happy, but excited when I get stuff back from Scott. The guy truly has a gift in terms of musical taste and touch and he couldn't be easier to work with. Maybe if he lived next door to me or something. In any case, he's a real pro with terrific ears and terrific sensibilities. I'm fortunate to be able to work with a guy of that caliber and to consider him a friend. (And don't tell him, but he is a total STEAL, rate-wise!) Hell of a drummer, too!
