Recording studio in Portland?

Recording studio in Portland?

Post by 1audiocat » Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:41 am

Hi

Looking for a small or low budget place. Any first hand experiences? Thank you in advance for your time.

I've been playing and recording for many years, I have very high grade pro gear and basic but good recording equipment - DAW, interface, monitors, compressors, mics etc.

This is "demo" stuff. I am a solo artist so it is not recording a whole band at once.

Thanks again

Hey -

I am working on getting my studio open, and would love to get more practice recording other people. I'll do it for super cheap, have some really great gear, and a "nice" basement set up.

Here's some of the stuff we've recorded here :

http://www.iheartfun.com/musics/quitter.mp3
http://www.iheartfun.com/musics/philly.mp3
http://www.iheartfun.com/musics/i-was-robbed-edit-1.mp3

Gear includes Digi 002, hamptone pres, langeving DVC, earthworks, royer, microtec geffel, oktava, vintage gibson and fender amps, minimoog, ampeg svt, traynor bass amp, 88 key rhodes, maestro electric piano, etc.

Thanks,

http://www.8ballstudio.com/. Rob Stroup of the Baseboard Heaters and Imprints. PT HD3, Ghost console, tons of high end gear and an awesome engineer/producer/musician.

http://www.mastanmusic.com/studio/587/. Great place, Jeremy Wilson of the Dharma Bums is the owner.

My former band recorded at both places a couple years ago, highly recommend both.
my band: Mission 5
