An Interview with Motown Legend Bob Olhsson

Post by Gregg Juke » Thu Feb 24, 2011 9:32 pm

Hello All,

Last year, I had the pleasure of interviewing legendary Motown recording and mastering engineer Bob Olhsson, about his days at Hitsville. I've boiled down many hours of discussion into a two-part podcast program called "Music with a Message: Principle and Praxis at Motown Records."

Bob is extremely knowledgeable, a great story-teller, and shares many specific technical details of interest to not only Motown enthusiasts, but also to today's music producers and engineers.

The program is available to listen to on Nocturnal Productions' "Channel Too"-- www.soundcloud.com/nocturnalprodchanneltoo

Check it out and enjoy...

I tried to download an mp3 to listen on my iPod, but couldn't find a link. Is it possible to get the mp3 itself without the embedded player?

No, not as of yet. But, if you want a complete transcript as a Word file, let me know and I'll hook you up.
