***Webster University in St. Louis will again host the Regional AES Summit this Friday 3.18 through Sunday 3.20: three days of panels, workshops and hangouts: the great Robert Scovill, Dave Issac, Tommy Vicari, Lenise Bent (she worked on Breakfast in America!), Greg Norman and many others, including some Tape Op types: Chris Mara, Tony San Fillipo (Drumsound), Dr. David Burdick, Tommy Wiggins, and many others (including a host of appearances by me, an Obscure Bozo).
Many panels and tutorials: Internships and Entry Level Positions, Home Recording, Sound Design, Game Sound, the Future of Analog, Recording Aesthetics, Studio Ownership, Women in Audio, Sound Reinforcement, Signal Processing, Vintage Gear Addicts, Sunday Morning Story Time, "Taming of the Shure", and many others. Analog recording sessions Friday and Saturday nights. $30 for AES members, $35 for non-members, includes Saturday lunch, Sunday breakfast and lunch.

It's really a great time, and for me somewhat fills the gap of the badly-missed Tape Op Conferences. Significant information and action-packed, but small enough to get to meet everyone, and have a marvelous hang.
Please join us.
