I was offered a gig doing sound for a small conference in a midtown hotel next Thursday, but my schedule won't allow for me to do it.
It's from 2pm-5pm with a noon setup time next Thursday, May 12.
They need 8 wireless mics (6 lavs, 2 handheld- panel type setup) and the room is pretty small (I think about 100-150 heads) so a small PA will be sufficient.
There's nothing in the room audio wise so you'd need to bring your own gear or rent it if you don't have it.
Any takers?
email or PM me with your info and I'll pass it along.
cheers,
steve

Re: NYC small conference gig
I'm not able to help with the gig, but I'm just curious if you've tried Dreamhire for the wireless rental? They're usually super flexible with drop-off and pick-up, and I've done gigs where they were fine with me leaving the gear at the venue overnight, and they would come pick it up first thing in the morning. I *think* they charge $100 for delivery, but don't quote me on that.steve3b1 wrote:...rent gear, and worry about transportation (the biggest pain is i might have to keep the stuff overnight and return it in the morning)
