Oh My F**KIN word..just found this..amazing

Post by supafuzz » Mon Jul 02, 2012 8:07 pm

Hi, my name is #$%^&*()__)(&% [name changed to protect the stupid], Im from Houston, Texas and Im 25 years old. Im looking for an investment of about $400,000 dollars under a four year contract with a return total of $800,000 at the end of the term. With the $400,000 dollar investment I will purchase two pieces of property. I will pay off one piece of property that I currently have in the amount of $70,000 and the other property across the street for $105,000. Between these two properties, I will reside in one and turn the other property into a full professional Music and Video Production Studio. $40,000 will be used to pay off my car and other small loans/debts and $60,000 will be used in upgraded Production Studio equipment. $25,000 will be invested towards 2 *studio internship programs and some slight floor plan remoduling of one of the properties used for the Production Studio. $100,000 will be used as a safety parachute. I am one of our artist and the official producer and will be attending one of the internships through the *Recording Connection Audio Institute for $8,000. With a $400,000 investment, I will be one of the top Artist/Producers in the industry. My ULTIMATE goal is to open up grounds that will accommodate my own Major Production Studios, an outdoor concert arena, a skate park, resturants, waterfalls, live entertainment, and shopping that will also include my own clothing lines. This investment is a small step to accomplishing a goal that will eventually take "15 years" to achieve but I know exactly what to do and how to do it and I need this first investment to achieve my ULTIMATE goal.

I've got about $600,000 in life savings. You can have it; your project seems noteworthy and a nearly foolproof investment!

What's this all about again?......

was this sent to you personally or did you find it posted somewhere? Dude wants 400 large to build a studio, it sounds like he has no engineering experience, and he thinks money is going to make him a top producer.

And he's going to make $800k in 4 years ($200k/yr or $16.7k/month or $560/day EVERY DAY) in addition to whatever it takes for him to live off of and pay on utilities, insurance, maintenance, etc. etc.

really? Are all 25 year olds this dumb, or is he a special case?
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??

I got this off Craigslist NYC..first off here's a guy from Texas posting on NYC CL
not understanding the local community aspect.
It's just a super stoner fantasy..no business plan or any real details and no reference to interest percentages that would have to be maintained and loan repayment schedules etc. and not the least bit of understanding about how business works in this or any other time. As I said a huge fantasy. with waterfalls and his own line of clothing.

No he wants $300k to pay off his debts and car loan and buy 2 houses and only $60k for gear and he's going to do an internship for $8000.
He's so far off reality it's amazing.

should totally hook this dude up with a Nigerian prince that emailed me the other day. Apparently he is willing to split a $1 million dollar inheritance with whoever can pony up a wealth transfer fee!

Wow. This is just too easy.

But we should also mention that in addition to how hysterically self-deluded this kid is: Dude is just plain bad at math.

If you had $400,000 and put it into a index fund, at 8% annual compound interest it would only take like 9 or 10 years to get up to $800,000.

Seriously: if you just put your money into some totally random computerized investment portfolio you'd have a better return than what he's promising, and in less time!

This means that -- Even if it wasn't such a sh*tty investment -- it would still be a sh*tty investment!

Even in his best-case-scenario where he becomes the next Kanye West (which is clearly not going to happen) it would still be an incredibly dumb thing to do with your money. (...Not to mention that you wouldn't even have your own studio out of the deal.) Newsflash, kid: Rich people get how money works. That's why they're rich.

Okay, I'm going to stop being a jerk to a complete stranger now. That was wrong. Even if it does feel oh-so-right...

Yep it's deluxe delusion.
But if you read carefully
a] he's not only the producer but one of the artists
b] he doesn't have day one of recording studio/producing experience
c] Money alone will make him one of the top producer/artists
d} he will be the Official Producer and not just a low level producer like the rest of us
