Blue Man Productions seeks general studio assistant

Post by mwerden » Mon Feb 25, 2013 11:04 am

Hi folks, we're about to enter a pretty busy time at the studio and I'm looking to hire a temp general assistant from nowish through May. This is an entry level kind of situation, a lot of cleaning up and shuffling gear around. ProTools chops are a must. I want someone who is young and sharp as a tack.

Ideally we'd have some interviews this Friday the 25th. If you're interested please email me at mwerden dot bmp AT gmail and cc gregf AT blueman.com.

Thanks!

Here is the more official posting:

Blue Man Group is looking for a TEMPORARY GENERAL STUDIO ASSISTANT

Blue Man Group is seeking an individual to temporarily join the Audio Department. The General Studio Assistant will handle daily tasks such as tracking gear for repairs and sessions, organizing the studio, overseeing interns, assisting the engineering and songwriting team, cleaning up ProTools projects, and finding sound effects. This position reports to the Chief Sound Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a great team, working for a collaborative and fun entertainment organization.

Candidates should have a strong interest in the music and entertainment industry, possess strong organizational and communication skills, have the ability to multitask, and be adaptable within a fast paced environment. Experience with ProTools is a must.

The General Studio Assistant will be employed temporarily from the beginning of March through the end of May, and will need to be available to work during weekday hours. There is potential room for growth. Wage is $15/hour.

Interested applicants should send cover letter and resume including 3 references by 3/4/13 to:
