If I remember correctly (which is highly unlikely; it was the 80's), I saw George Duke with Jean Luc Ponty and Rayford Griffin. I can't rememebr who the leader was; i think it was Ponty...

Anyway, RIP.

Duke's instructional dvd is great too if you can find it, teaches with contagious humor and enthusiasm while simultaneously giving you enough information about chord voicings to last for years.

Got to see him once. He was on keys for Mothers Live at Fillmore which was one of my top ten shows of all time...
