"The Shape of Jazz to Come" and then "Virgin Beauty" (Prime Time) were two of the most influential albums for me both as a musician and as a composer.

Ornette was one of a kind for sure.

Can't say I ever really understood Harmelodics, but he sure was one innovative cat. And as vvv said, we also have him to thank for James Blood Ulmer. RIP.
