Is that a better or worse fate than being bought by Gibson?

Seems like Gibson and Behringer are becoming the same type of company. 8) Everywhere (not just in music) there's a lot of buying up smaller companies that have a product (or a few) and then just sucking the profits off of them until they die. No re-investment or new development. Just ride it out until it dies, then kill it off and do it again somewhere else. I don't know, maybe it's always been this way? sad.

From what I have seen, this is not the case with Behringer as owners of Midas, Klark Teknik, TC Helicon, etc... Every acquisition I’ve seen has turned into new developments (ie: Midas and KT team also has been involved with some of their synths, many new products have come from those brands, some small synth companies have been acquired to directly work on announced projects..).

I don’t believe it is comparable to Gibson’s purchasing history.

The company was purchased by Music Group (Behringer) in August 2015.

I'm glad to hear it. I own a Behringer PA system (XR16, B112D's, B110d's, B1200D's). It's a great system (as long you gain stage it correctly). I also had one each of the new KT lA-2A and EQP clones (which I believe were after the MT acquisition). They were nice too - really good for the price - but I just prefer in the box most of the time.

Maybe it will be good for Aston.
