it was probably inevitable for a product line like this, although it seems Audiotonix is probably most interested in the subscription plans that Slate has. There are still many plugins that Steven Slate said were coming and never did. Maybe something will happen in the future, but my gut tells me this is like many other acquisitions that are there just to milk the revenue stream (and not actually develop new product)

We will have to see what they do. They also own SSL, Allen & Heath and other brands.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Re: Slate Digital acquited by Audiotonix
yeah, I've definitely seen new stuff from SSL, but it seems a lot more focused at the smaller end (compared to where they have always been -- then again I'm not often shopping for large format consoles so maybe I'm just not aware of other stuff). I would like them to at least keep maintaining the Slate digital products. They have been pretty good overall and don't charge upgrades/maintenance plans (like some companies) for perpetual licenses. and even though I don't subscribe (I bought the plugins I really use), the subscription plan (All-access) seems pretty fairly priced (so far).

No info on Steven Slate Audio (the makers of Trigger 2) that I can find.
Anybody know if they're sold, as well? Their website is terribly out of date on EVERYTHING (including macOS support).

Re: Slate Digital acquited by Audiotonix
according to this link, SSD is considered one of the "Slate companies" - https://slatedigital.com/about/
so yeah I think Auditonix got the whole enchilada.

Just saw this and thought someone had sued them. You might want to fix the title, i.e. 'acquired'
