Sad news - I wasn't specifically a Bacharach fan, other than his music being inescapable at times, but I do really like the Costello collaboration. Nice that his music was great enough to largely escape the schlockiness of the times and of course all his imitators.

I recently found out he wrote "A House Is Not A Home" which in my opinion, the 1988 Luther Vandross live performance at the NAACP awards is the most amazing RnB live performance ever. RIP magnificent songwriter.
