TOMB covers Will Oldham...any interest?

Post by mjau » Sun Sep 07, 2008 9:34 am

Anybody wanna try to assemble a TOMB Will Oldham compilation?

What might be cool is if we somehow arrange it so we're playing on each other's tracks - maybe even getting everyone to play instruments they normally don't. Or not. Whatever works.

Anyway, post here with songs you'd like to do, and if we get at least a half dozen or so of us on board, we'll set a deadline.

I'm thinking either West Palm Beach or Gulf Shores would be cool to do. Apparently I'm in a Florida frame of mind.

Well, considering how the Low compilation seems to have died in its tracks, I have time to cover some Will Oldham.

How about i take dibs on "Cat's Blues"? Love that song....

"I Send My Love to You" would be cool to do.

Any limitations on format; I mean, I'd like to do it electric.

Or mebbe "All Gone, All Gone" ...

Yeah, great - and definitely no limitations on format and/or interpretation. Have at it.

I'd love to play drums on tracks for anyone who needs it.

I'd love a chance to do a the song "What are You?" off of the Matt Sweeney & Bonnie "Prince" Billy CD 'Superwolf'. Does that count?
