A similar question was posed, and somebody here pointed towards Olivia Tremor Control's Black Foliage for overall balance, I really like the way the bass and vocals fit in the mix.

For that matter, Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Airplane over the sea has a good balance too, which would make sense considering the connections between the bands.

For me it's Toy Matinee, So, Joshua Judges Ruth, Aliens Ate my Buick,Avalon and A Few Small Repairs. Covers everything I have to check!
