Weird melvins remix cd on the horizon

The long-in-gestation Melvins remix album, announced as far back as 2006, will finally see the light of day this year. Entitled Chicken Switch, the album sees a host of avant-garde and experimental artists re-interpreting Melvins tracks, with the?record expected in late September/early October via Ipecac.

Wow, even noisier than I thought it would be.

it sounds kind of like listening to the Melvins and also listening to the inside of a bloodsucking zombie Black and Decker.

I gotta pick this up. I just saw the Melvins a week ago. It was awesome, very powerful sounding.

I saw them live too a while back.

They are insanely tight.

This remix project is kind of a noise collage of their back catalog though. Sorta reminds me of the Boredoms Rebore albums but way more aggressive.
