on the Bohnam tracks- it sounds like somebody in the background trying to decide what they want for lunch. Is somebody talking to him or is he just grunting a bunch when he plays?

Bonham growling and grunting and vocalizing like he's having a fit.

should i record the guitar part playing on the first three strings first then the other three secondly, so i can only focus on three strings at a time?

Interesting... Pan one left, one right... I will def. try this on a tune I've been working on!

I seem to recall the guy from Def Leppard doing things like recording only one string at a time when he did some powerchord type stuff so there would be 3 guitar tracks each with a different note. He didn't want the record to sound too heavy, so if you have a mild overdrive and then you play one string at a time, it's pretty clear vs. when you hit 3 strings and it gets sorta dirty. Chuck Berry proved that 50 years ago.
