New record from my friend Matt Durfee out of Albany, NY. Love his songs. Came out in November. All but 1 song were tracked and mixed in my bedroom (the title track, "little world" was tracked/mixed in another studio, not by me). Pretty stoked on how it came out. Carl Saff mastered it.

Yar sounds nice, lots of space in the mix to hear the singer...

Are the drums, when present, acoustic? Just wondering because I'd be hard pressed to find space for a drumset in my bedroom.. and, I just got an electronic set for recording.

thanks guys.

Yeah, drums are acoustic. Definitely pretty cramped setting it up. Just 4 mics, IIRC. Kick, 2 OH (glynn johns/recorder man sorta set up, FOK mic). I was pretty shocked at how good they ended up sounding. Definitely helps that that drummer rules and has a really great sounding kit. Most of the walls have 703 panels on them. Without that I don't think it would have worked out as well.

nicely done! I like the drum & vocal sounds a lot.

I recorded an mostly at my house a while back, an it turned out great. sometimes you just have to find the right placement and a living room is just as good as a studio
