My first post! A song for the desert

Post by DeepGroove » Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:47 pm

Well I've been an avid TapeOp reader for 3 years or so and it's about time I found the board...

Here's a song from a full length album I just recorded/produced/performed on with my uncle, Will Webb, who's based near Nashville.
Will Webb- Ain't Nobody Home
I'm real proud of the record, and we had a blast making it. We traveled back and forth from his living room in Nashville and my home studio in Delaware over the past year. This song was entirely recorded and mixed in his living room, which was all hardwood floor and the walls were covered in little knick knacks that they'd collected over the years. I think his room sounded better than my studio, and he thought the opposite...

Really good man!
I like how all the instruments weave in and out of the song.
Very J.J. Cale, and that's good shit in my book.

Funny you mention JJ Cale, because that is EXACTLY who we referenced while tracking the Weisenborn guitar and during mixdown! good ear
