Post by TV » Mon Nov 14, 2005 12:49 pm

This is a mix of a song I just finished recording with my band Colab. It was tracked with a fostex vf-160 and mixed in cubase. Any crit is appreciated.

The beginning drum part sounds very cool...what are the details?

the drums at the beginning were recorded with two 58's about 4 feet back from the kit and an Octava large diaphragm on the kick. I distorted them a little bit with a plugin in cubase.

For guitars we mainly used a Mustang through an AC30 and a strat through a pro junior or bandmaster. (not my gear, so i'm not sure about the years).

thanks for checking it out.
