hi there any1 know any ear traing cds/programs for free on the net??
as in fequency recognition not pitch ...although that would be nice too!
i would buy golden ears but its $200 and i only really want 1 of the cds

although id LOVE to have it;)

I have the Golden Ears stuff, but I can tell you, all Dave Moulton does is cut and boost at different frequencies on music and pink noise using Waves Q10. I learned alot more by doing it myself. Just make your own C.D.s, you'll learn more, or better yet just take a bunch of program material -- classical, rock, whatever -- and listen critically with an eq plugin (or if you have a decent graphic eq even bettter). Do the same with a comp. I think he monkies around with phase stuff, too. Those Golden Ears C.D.s aren't that great, and a little dated if you want my honest opinion.
