Hugh, cool songs. I think myspace is strange.

myspace is cool, especially for bands and songwriters, cause you can put up your
songs and anyone can find you and listen.
we went to the MMS (midwest music summit) last year and one of the workshops
we attended talked about self-promotion and all that. they said that having
a myspace page now is basically better than having an actual presskit and
essential for anyone trying to get on a label or put out records.

i don't know about all that, but it has been great for our band.

as far as preditors, those jerks are everywhere. it really has nothing to do with
Myspace. the best thing to do is to not put any vital personal info on any of
those kinds of sites. and if you have kids, teach them to not put things like
home address or cell phone numbers up there. yikes.

I don't mean to be snarky here, but can someone explain the appeal of MySpace for anyone over 14 years old?

OK, maybe I do mean to be snarky.

I'm at http://www.myspace.com/sleepybrighteyez if you want to be my friend.

I have a few songs on there. I joined MySpace cuz a few of my friends invited me. It's fun every now and then, but I usually forget to check up on it.
