treble king - here is another great bridge but it is usually only heard in Minnesota: Mark Mallman's "Humankind" from his Red Bedroom LP - great twinkling piano cadenza and then back into the song -

and for the rest of the world, the bridge in "I'm So Tired" is pretty darn nice. It's like an extra little song within the bigger song. Naming good Beatles bridges is kind of pointless, though. Are there any CRUMMY Beatles bridges?

Actually, I cannot. I think I made a bit of a generalization. But I was listening to 'Veronica', co-written by McCartney and Elvis Costello. If you've heard a lot of both EC and the Beatles, it's pretty apparent who wrote which parts of that song. But of course I wasn't there, so...

"I go astray"- Jason Falkner.

The beauty is in the way he makes it back to the chorus. The melody at the end of that bridge "...in the form of an apology..." into the chorus is genius.

Elvis Costello is master of the bridge. Clubland is just the first example that comes to mind.
