I don't really see the Roy Orbison in this, except maybe in that end chord progression.

That said, I really like it and think it sounds cool. It's a good song, and like how it's arranged and mixed.

It?s a good song with a solid, simple arrangement and structure. You kinda have to go out of your way to mess a mix up if you have those fundamentals in place

The execution of the key part at the end is a little too off for me. Idea is good, just need to nail the take a bit better for me.

Turn up the bass a bit, and turn up the bass drum a lot. It needs that bottom end thump-along, IMHO. Kinda absent now, at least in my headphones at work. Otherwise, sounds great.

Style sounds a lot like what I'm doing with my solo stuff. If you're using a DAW, try creating a tempo map based upon the most grooving track with obvious transients -- like the hi-hat, for example -- and then line up the ocassional errant bass note, snare hit and/or bass drum hit, for example. Will help create a tighter feel, if that's what yer wantin'...

Ampguy, why do you put guitar solos over every piece of music you can find?

I agree about maybe a touch more touch in the low end for the drums. But damn, I love the way this song feels! The painful vocals and neat simple arrangement make it timeless.

Looking forward to more,
