My band, The Bye Bye Blackbirds, has an EP coming out soon. We recorded it on a Fostex 16-track tape machine with Bill Swan from Beulah producing (mostly at his home, but also a bit at a project studio here in Oakland.) In the end we bounced to PT for some final overdubs and mixing (Chris Palmatier did the mix and the lion's share of engineering.) John Golden is the mastering engineer.
One song from the project is up now at: www.myspace.com/byebyeblackbirds
We'll be posting more as we get closer to the release. I'd love to hear what you folks think!
Best,
Boo

Hello!
I know this post is getting old but this stuff sounds AWESOME!
Just curious to know wich Fostex 16 track model did you use fro those recordings. B-16? E-16? G-16? or G-16s?
I always thought that it was possible to make a good quality recording with a 1/2" 16 track. Just might require a little more work to make it sounds really good.
