Hi all: I had friends from england over last week, and I recorded them in my studio. It is all acoustic, solo, 1 take stuff. For anyone interested, here is a link to the songs. I have been very happy with these preamps. Walter

thanks. Here is the info on the session. Like it says, we did it all one take, with about 10 minutes worth of set up time. I call my studio- 1 take studios- because that is about all I can handle Walterbradfromtampa wrote:i have been tempted to pick one of these pre-amps up. what kind of mic did you use? your recordings do sound nice!

I recorded Jessy and Nigel Price last week when they were here on vacation. They are from england. Nigel is Jessie's father. These songs were all done 1 take, no overdubs. The gear used was:
mics: AKG C414TLII vocals
Oktava M-012 on the neck of the guitar
Oktave M-02 on bridge of guitar
AKG C414 B ULS about 3 feet in front of guitar soundhole
RODE NT1A and AT3035 in the back of the room
5 electro harmonix 12AY7 preamps and 1 ART TPSII preamp
delta 1010 soundcard
samplitude classic V8 recording software

I like the song and the recording. It's interesting to hear music that has a different lineage.
