Swan Lake- Beast Moans
Has anyone else not been able to stop listening to this album?! These songs are beautiful and the mixes are so dense. Does anyone know anything about the recording of this album? I'm not too familiar with the other two guys in the band, but Dan Bejar is a genius in my eyes.

Wow. Funny. I was about to post the exact same question--anyone else totally obsessed with this thing? Thought I better do a quick search to make sure nobody beat me to the punch.frozenfoodaisle wrote:Has anyone else not been able to stop listening to this album?! Guess what? You beat me to the punch.
Yup. I'm in love. Don't know anything about how it was recorded, but I'm hoping somebody will. It's so dense and sloppy...in a good way. Lots of crunchy midrange. I love it. Parts of it sound, to me, like they could have been recorded on casette 4-track. But who knows. I wish someone would fill us in.

I happen to be a fan of New Pornographers/Destroyer/Wolf Parade, and I heard two MP3s from this album. I need to go buy it this week. So glad that other folks are into Daniel Bejar and Spencer Krug's work. Two of the quirkiest singers that I've ever heard. Some folks can't get past this, unfortunately. I really enjoy everything that I've heard by both of them.

there are so many really great abrasive sounds on this record. And the lyrics! I thought it was going to be kind of a funny coloaboration, since they are all in super groups, but it's not at all. I don't really think about wolf parade, destroyer or frog eyes when I listen to it. I bet it spawns some clones.
I want them to record an album of mine.
