I used to do it all the time. I actually still do with Tzadik stuff. They have a little description of the the album and if it sounds cool I pick it up.

The last album I almost bought without know one thing about them was this:

Holy Crap! This is great. Nuit de Chine is credited for art direction and design while Vincent Soyez is credited for photography. In my brief search in the internet I could not find definitive info regarding who is responsible for this. Man, it?s great!
