Joe mEEk. that "I hear other worlds" album was great. Never like the green gear though

Bruce Haack was a similar chap, and the inventor of electronic music as we know it. also has an insteresting history and some cool music:

Agreed. Electric Lucifer is one of the most out-there albums you're likely to ever hear.

The biggest bummer about Joe Meek is that most of his recent compilations are completely suffocated with noise reduction. The best one is It's Hard To Believe It: The Amazing World Of Joe Meek, which was remastered by Steve Hoffman. The box set has an incredible song selection, but really suffers because of the NR.
