Well out here when you run into kids from MI or kids in metal bands or any drummer under the age of 21 all you hear is how awesome Rush is.

With RUSH...
Like them or not, it sure is pretty amazing that the three best musicians in the world ended up in the same band together!

Holy shit - kids are still into Rush? I figured it was all Linkin Park or something nowadays. That's scary. I take it back, what I said about them not being overrated.

Depends where you live, apparently. Middle America, esp. Michigan, they're huge.

I haven't seen any Rush fans for a while in my area. I think they're migrating to Dream Theater. I'd rather listen to Rush than Dream Theater. Seriously. At least I can usually get a chuckle from Rush. Plus, Geddy's work on the Mackenzie Brothers record was sweet. Take off!

There's a new Rush album out now, I guess. I saw a review of it somewheres. The review didn't exactly 'overrate' the album though.

There's an old Rush video from the 1980s that I enjoy. I think it's "Time Standing Still". At the end, there's a shot of a german shepherd against a background of mid-Canadian winter bleakness. I'm thinkin' that's gotta be the personal dog of one of the band members.

Geddy Lee's appearance on the Bob/Doug McKenzie LP record is superbly priceless.

Seriously the U.P. of MI practically is Canada, sort of a trashy Canada.

RefD,

Is your name in reference to Refused, and is that the guitar player in your avatar?
