Anyone not really impressed by the new album? I feel its unadventurous and rather boring.

You mean as if they sat around wearing striped sweaters, sipping tea and complaining about how they didn't feel like rocking?

That's cool. I feel the same, yet opposite.

i don't find it boring at all.

it's not nearly as brimming with ear candy and headphone treats as their previous efforts, but i really like the songs and the performances are great.

I don't either. I find it the opposite of boring and unadventurous, etc.

I really love this new record.

i just downloaded this a few hours ago (paid $8) and am listening to it for the first time now. i think it sounds great so far though the first song put me off a bit. while thom yorke gets most of the press about this band i really love the bassist and drummer.

the number eight followed by a close parenthesis mark usually turns into a smiley wearing shades.

Fuck, I'm loving it. Some great Colin Greenwood moments - who, by the way, is totally underrated IMO.

Yeah, the drums/drummer and bass/bassist sound really awesome. Did Nigel Godrish have anything to do with this effort or was purely a Radiohead thing? I think Nigel's sounds have gotten kinda dated, not that Sea Change wasn't the tits. Maybe I just mean that standard Nigel Godrich sound, and not the Nigel himself.

Nigel, really? That's surprising and encouraging. It seems he's broken out of his mold a bit. What do you think influenced him post-McCartney? Those fucking Brits always keep you guessing.
