omg, that video is so GC it makes me wanna puke.

every JC-120 i have ever heard or played through has been ass for anything except the chorusing (but since the chorus in the post-early-90s ones is now a cringe-inducing sub-par digital effect, not even that) and certain types of strident clean tone.

also, the speakers in those things really suck bad.

they are loud, i'll give that much.

the attitude on those two is hilarious and i feel kinda bad for the ppl they help sucker into buying that crap.

Let's not forget West African guitar music... The Jazz Chorus is the Marshall of Africa.

You know, I hate to say it, but those guys made all those tinny boss pedals and that tinny solid state amp sound better than I thought they would. I mean, it's not GOOD per say, but I've messed with that same setup at the guitar store or whatever, and it sounded much much worse. Probably my shoddy guitar playing. Oh well, at least I don't LOOK so bad doing it. :D

y'know, that's about the only style(s) of music where it DOES sound good!

actually, i need to amend that: Adrian Belew made the JC-120 sound good...but those were the 1970s versions with replacement (JBL) speakers combined with his playing.

I just want to add that this one basically caused me to soil myself and ruin the couch as well. The transition fro "shred" to "boogie" around 1:37 was my breaking point.
