I haven't but the thread is a perfectly viable topic for anyone who's interested, so I'll keep it up.

For me, it's probably Joni Mitchell. Last year, I did a gig in Atlanta playing with Magnapop and their guitar player is really excellent. I also have to love Shalini Chatterjee.

I did. I'd describe it as exactly opposite of my taste - i.e. well played but overly slick, safe and for me, soulless and completely uninteresting. In other words - great stuff for someone else - but not my cup of tea whatsoever.

+1!

Also, Beth Cameron from Forget Cassettes is kickass, as is her band.
Yeah - I really enjoyed the excerpts on their site - thanks for forwarding the link,

nobody new to add, but for me it's Ani DiFranco, with Joni Mitchell a close 2nd.

And I forgot to mention Badi Assad (Sergio & Odair Assad's younger sister) who is also amazing in the Brazillian jazz / flamenco styles too.

& as stated on a few other posts:
PJ & Wendy are definitely worthy of mention here too!

Well if you go there then ya gotta mention Lita Ford too.

Going back in the day here but Dana Ong from Slaughter Shack and Sindi & Gina from Lunachicks could play some heavy duty rock'n'roll too.

Best regards,
Steve Berson
