Black Mountain 2005 album

Post by ;ivlunsdystf » Sat Mar 01, 2008 6:14 am

I know I'm a couple of years late to the party on this one, but HOLY COW. They have completely nailed the sound of "War Pigs" era Black Sabbath (without Ozzy) and also made it their own. I am really liking this album. If you haven't heard it yet and you love good rock-to-tape sounds, check it out.

The new one, In The Future is fucking great, too!
And, they put on a fantastic live show.

If you're into Black Mountain, you owe it to yourself to also check out:

Jerk With A Bomb
Pink Mountaintops
Lightning Dust

mostly all the same people. And, all absolutely WONDERFUL!!!

i was a little disappointed with in the future after the first one had so much "new" stuff. i mean it's okay, but it's almost like it's just all the fat cut from the first record.

pink mountaintops has some decent moments, but i find myself missing the BM drummer's touch on that stuff.
