This new album hes done She and Him with actress Zooey Deschanel is really great. Great production, great songs, great cover songs, great collective of musicians he got to play as the backing band.

I didn't know M. Ward had a new one out. Thanks for the tip. His music is uniformly excellent...and inspiring. One of my favorites of the modern age.

Looking forward to seeing where he is at...

I saw them at SXSW. I even got to meet Zooey, through Matt, which was fun. She's super nice and had a great voice. Turns out a few other friends of mine were in the band. M Ward has impeccable taste and is one of the most real people in music. Great stuff, and I'm looking forward to the CD. I believe it's out tomorrow, according to Zooey, and is under the artist title She & Him.

How about an interview?

Post by vmoney » Mon Nov 17, 2008 11:30 am

I know I'm a little late to the party posting to this thread, but I totally agree - I love the She & Him album. Great songs, great performances and great production. It's so nice to hear something that sounds like it was made by actual humans and isn't compressed to death.

Larry - how about an interview with M. Ward, Zooey or both of them?

I'd love to hear more about how the record was made.
